ANALYZING SELF-TALK

How do you talk to yourself in silence throughout the day?
Are you extremely harsh in your conversations with self?
What are the lies you believe about yourself?
What are the lies you believe about what others say about you?

Negative self-talk will only lead to unhappiness, fear, anxiety, worry, depression and hopelessness.
YOUR FAILURES DO NOT DEFINE YOU!

We will actually behave according to how we perceive ourselves.  If God made everything (creation) out of nothing, what can he make out of you?  You may feel as though you are worth nothing, but you are created in God’s own image!  God can make something beautiful out of you!  God has amazing plans for your life!

Romans 12:2 says, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  If you engage in negative self-talk or believe the negative things people say about you, you will need to transform your mind and only believe the truth of what the bible says about you.  Only be concerned with what God himself says about you.

Who are you in Christ?  Here is what the bible says you are as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ:

 ·    A Child of God
John 1:12, “But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

 ·    Wonderfully made by the creator of the universe!
Psalm 139:14, "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..."

·    Forgiven by God
Romans 8:1,“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

·     Able to do all things through Christ
Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

·    A new creation in Christ Jesus
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come”

·    Saved and rejoiced over by God the Father
Zephaniah 3:17, "The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."

AMEN!  Go forth and live the joyful abundant life that God has intended for you!  Choose JOY!

    Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. "
